Insert the citations into the footnotes using a normal author-date styleĪfter you format the paper, the footnotes will contain abbreviated in-text citations such as (Smith, 1992) and the full reference will appear in the bibliography.

Create the footnote using Word's footnoting tool.

The footnotes will appear at the bottom of the relevant page, correctly formatted. Insert a Page Break before the bibliography at the end of the document to ensure your bibliography is printed on a separate page at the end of your document.

Repeat this procedure for each footnote.

Use the EndNote toolbar to insert the citation into the footnote.

An endnote appears at the end of the document.
